DRISHA HaSha'ar Track

Full-time students interested in careers as day school educators can apply for the HaSha'ar track, which integrates serious Jewish studies with field placements as teachers in Jewish day schools.  HaSha'ar attracts both aspiring educators as well as experienced teachers who want to build their knowledge and enrich their classroom practices.

To address individual needs, Drisha customizes the student's program to balance Jewish study and classroom teaching experience.  For example, a HaSha'ar fellow may teach in a Jewish day school in the morning, learn in Drisha's Beit Midrash in the afternoon, and attend related seminars on some evenings.  Recent HaSha'ar graduates are working as teachers and principals as well as in curriculum development at Jewish day schools.
