DRISHA Beit Midrash Program
Developed for female college graduates, the Drisha Beit Midrash program
offers one year of intermediate-level study of biblical and rabbinic texts,
with a strong emphasis on havruta (partner) learning. Beginner level
also available. The program runs from September through May. Mornings are devoted
to the study of Talmud, with time divided between havruta and shiur
(lessons). The afternoon curriculum includes courses in Bible and commentaries,
Midrash, philosophy, and biblical grammar. Beit Midrash students may
elect to be in the HaSha'ar track, which prepares students for careers as day
school educators.
Participants may apply for a scholarship to support their studies.

Eligibility requirements:
Ability to read Chumash in the original with traditional commentaries;
Familiarity with basic halakhic concepts
Prior experience in studying Talmud in original (dictionary may be used).
