Friendship
Both Biblical and Rabbinic literature stress the importance of friendship. “Either colleagues or death!” Honi famously declares. Yet, friendships can also be difficult to navigate. What qualities should one look for in a friend? What is an appropriate amount of influence for friends to have on one another? How much should you give up for the sake of a friend? We will explore these questions through a diverse array of classes and consider the role that friendship plays in our own lives.
